Privacy

This site is run by Thousand Words FilmS (“we”). We collect as little as we can.

What we collect

  • If you join the Ferry List or a waitlist: your email address, your first name if you give it, the page you signed up on, where you came from (for example a YouTube link), and the date. We use this only to email you about our films, shop and membership.
  • If you send an enquiry: your name, email, company and message, used only to reply to you.
  • If you vote: your choice and a one-way hash of your IP address, so each person votes once. We cannot turn the hash back into your IP address.
  • Server logs: our web server keeps standard access logs (IP address, page, browser) for security, for a limited time.

Cookies and embeds

We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies. Films are embedded from YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode and only load when you press play; once you do, YouTube’s own privacy policy applies.

Sharing

We don’t sell or rent your data. If we move our mailing list to an email service provider, your address will be processed by that provider on our behalf only.

Your choices

Every email will include a way to unsubscribe. You can also ask us at any time to see, correct or delete what we hold about you: email [email protected].
